You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
This means they bill the insurance company directly. You don't pay thousands upfront and wait to be reimbursed.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
The FTC Funeral Rule protects you. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List if you ask — in person or over the phone. You are never required to buy a package and can choose services individually. You also have the right to use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I wish I could give this place zero stars. The worst experience Ive dealt with in a long time. They have caused interference in the wishes of my Mom to be laid to rest there and caused emotional distress to my family and I. I paid for the stone and they are now refusing to put it in production by adding a post-contract condition which was never discussed until after I paid them. This condition is not in the signed contract and is not written anywhere. The staff is worthless-especially the "GM" Holly. I have dealt with 6-7 reps over the past few months since they keep quitting- I can see why with such poor upper management. They basiscally dont care-they know they have loved ones in a tough spot since its the deceased wishes to be burried there near their loved ones who have already passed. Such a shame and disgusting organization.”

“Have more than a handful of family here. Father-n-law since 2000😢 Roads need repaved! So many dead bushes need torn out from graves😢 Other bushes have taken over so many other graves😢 Dead trees😳 Many in-ground grave markers are disappearing due to grass growing over them😳😢 The Military area is poorly done and maintained😢 My Aunt’s grave stone urn was broken by a lawnmower, gave up having them fix it!😡 Even watch a worker ball up the flag🇺🇸 when taking it down!😡 Management is WEAK, it’s all about the next sale and minimal maintenance😡 Wife wants to be buried here with family, WON’t happen on my watch🤫”

“My Mom was buried at this cemetery almost 6 years ago. I visit her resting place rather frequently. I always bring fresh flowers to her headstone. Since flowers don’t last long, I decided to decorate Mom’s burial place with a couple of beautiful garden stakes. A week ago, I came to visit her and saw that the stakes had disappeared. I was so upset! I called the Rose Hill Burial Park management to express my concerns. The person who answered me took my information, and they never called back. I am very disappointed at this situation, since the company seems not to care about burial property.”
